What does a true ‘home away from home’ look and feel like in early childhood education settings?

In this course, you’ll explore how to create a nurturing and safe haven for play, imagination, and genuine connection — a space that feels calm, warm, and full of heart.

Many children can spend more waking hours in our early childhood settings than they do in their own homes. This means our environments aren’t just places for care and education — they become living, breathing spaces where belonging and relationships thrive.

Home-like spaces are heart-like spaces. They leave room for the most vital ingredients in a child’s world: love, play, relationships, and life itself.

Suitable for beginners to experienced educators

In this inspiring and practical learning journey, you’ll discover how to:

  • Infuse care, love, and beauty into your environment to foster play and imagination.
  • Embrace the role of a Nestmaker — preparing your setting (and yourself) in head, heart, and hand for meaningful change.
  • Create a sensorial banquet that engages children’s senses and emotions.
  • Go beyond surface aesthetics to design environments where care is truly felt and relationships matter most.
  • Offer a space that nurtures little hearts — not just one that houses little bodies.

Together, we’ll move beyond the basics and towards the beautiful — in both the seen and unseen elements of your environment.
