Rituals are the fuel for play

You can’t play on empty. In this inspiring session, we explore the why, how, and what of bringing meaningful rituals into your programme. When children feel emotionally safe and secure, they enter “play heaven” — a space where imagination and authenticity thrive.

Predictable spaces, rhythms, and rituals help children and families feel anchored and ‘held’ by both the people and the place. The richness of play is directly connected to the richness of ritual. A loved-up child will potter, tinker, and explore deeply when they feel nurtured, known, and safe.

Rituals are the safety container that allow children to rest in the familiar and bravely reach for the unknown. They may forget what they did or said, but they’ll never forget how your place made them feel.
